About David JC Cutler
Mr. David JC Cutler is highly experienced and accomplished finance executive with outstanding technical accounting skills and proven financial management and entrepreneurial achievements, delivered in a broad range of senior financial management roles in organizations ranging from startups to multi-national corporations.
Mr. Cutler has been the Principal of Cutler & Co., LLC since 2002. Cutler & Co. LLC is a Colorado registered accounting company that has been focused on providing fractional Chief Financial Officer, accounting, bookkeeping, tax and consulting services to startups, private companies seeking to raise debt or equity funding and micro-cap public companies. Between 2011 – 2015, Cutler & Co. LLC was also a PCAOB registered auditing firm auditing more than 50 public companies prior to the sale of its auditing business in 2015. Cutler & Co. LLC registered with the PCAOB in 2020 and is now eligible to audit publicly quoted companies once again.
Mr. Cutler is also the President and Chief Executive Officer of Phoenix Capital LLC, a merchant banking company that specializes in identifying, relisting and completing reverse mergers for “abandoned” publicly quoted shell companies. Client companies that have been listed or relisted by Phoenix Capital, LLC include Aspeon, Inc., Atomic Paintball, Inc., Capital Resource Alliance, Inc., Golden Dragon Holding Corp, Quantech Electronics Crop., Southwestern Water Exploration Co., Torrent Energy Corp and USN Corp.
Mr. Cutler is currently the controlling shareholder, Chief Financial Officer of Alexandria Advantage Warranty Company, a Pink Sheet-quoted shell company seeking to become fully SEC reporting, settle all outstanding liabilities, and seek a reverse merger
Mr. Cutler has a Master’s degree from St. Catharine’s College in Cambridge, United Kingdom and qualified as a British Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor with Arthur Andersen & Co. in London, United Kingdom. He was subsequently admitted as a Fellow of the UK Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Mr. Cutler held senior international financial management positions with the multi-national companies Reuters Plc and the Schlumberger Group and subsequently has more than thirty years’ experience serving as a main board director and officer of startup operations and micro-cap public companies and in both the UK and the US.
Mr. Cutler moved to the US in 1996 to become Chief Financial Officer and subsequently Chief Executive Officer of Multi-Link Telecommunications, Inc., a telecom start up that completed its IPO in 1999, subsequently was subject to a management buyout in 2002 and eventually sold to Dish Network in 2010.
Since arriving in the US, Mr. Cutler has qualified as a Certified Public Accountant (qualifying as the highest scoring candidate in Colorado and in the top 100 candidates nationwide), a Certified Valuation Analyst of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and obtained an executive MBA from Colorado State University.
Mr. Cutler has provided CFO services, and or, technical and operational accounting support to such startups as Realtime Worlds, Inc. (a video game developer), Tendril Networks, Inc. (a cloud based provider of efficiency optimizing software for energy consumers), TrigPoint Solutions, Inc. (a cloud based provider on maintenance services to the oil service industry), Safe Bus, Inc. (a cloud base provider of school bus tracking software to parents), Enviro Gas LLC (provider of propane to residential and commercial customers) and Left Hand Robotics, Inc.(designer and manufacturer snow clearing and grass mowing robots).
Mr. Cutler has provided technical accounting support to such multi-national companies as Remax International and the Wheelabrator Group, to NASDAQ listed Century Casinos, Inc. and to start ups in the marijuana sector including GCH, Inc. (“Willie’s Reserve”).
From 2011 – 2017, Mr. Cutler was Chief Financial Officer and subsequently Chief Executive Officer and a director of US Precious Metals, Inc., a publicly quoted mineral exploration company with interests in Mexico and Chief Financial Officer and a director of Discovery Gold Corporation, a publicly quoted mineral exploration company with interests in Ghana.
During 2017 and 2018, Mr. David JC Cutler developed the financial reporting system, tax structure, and financial elements of the loan approval and post-closing review processes for Summit Peak Credit, LLC, a startup non-bank lender to the marijuana sector.
Mr. David JC Cutler is an active and committed volunteer with Food for Thought Denver, Food Bank of the Rockies and the Alzheimer’s Association and supporter of a wide range of charities supporting diversity and responsible journalism within the US and entrepreneurs and young leaders in developing world.
In his spare time Mr. Cutler can be found hiking with his wife in the beautiful Colorado Front Range, reading historical or business biographies or working out in the gym or yoga studio.
